January 18, 2011 Thanks to former Chief Justice Thomas R. Fitzgerald, new Illinois Rules of Evidence went into effect January 1, 2011. This seminar provided an overview of those new Rules and a comparison between the Illinois and Federal Rules. A closing panel of experts examined some of the more challenging evidentiary issues for both civil and criminal practitioners. A copy of the 2011 Lawyers' Handbook, complete with a set of the new Rules, was provided to each attendee at no charge.
