Thanks to former Chief Justice Thomas R. Fitzgerald, new Illinois Rules of Evidence went into effect January 1, 2011. This seminar provided an overview of those new Rules and a comparison between the Illinois and Federal Rules. A closing panel of experts examined some of the more challenging evidentiary issues for both civil and criminal practitioners. A copy of the 2011 Lawyers' Handbook, complete with a set of the new Rules, was provided to each attendee at no charge.
