This newsletter originally reported medical malpractice actions filed in the five "collar counties" of DuPage, Kane, Will, Lake, and McHenry-but has since been expanded to include other important venues throughout Illinois (Winnebago; Sangamon; Peoria; Grundy; LaSalle; Kankakee; Champaign; Macon; DeKalb; McLean; Vermilion; Madison; St. Clair).

Summaries include the venue, case name/number, law firm or lawyer that filed the case, and a brief review of the allegations found in the complaint. The annual index groups medical malpractice actions by subject matter (e.g.; anesthesia; birth injury to child; failure to diagnose; podiatry; cancer), and defendants by type (e.g., physician; hospital; nursing home; clinic/medical group).
